Field Supervisor’s Achieve STSC Credential

BCSP is the leader in high quality credentials for safety, health, and environmental practitioners and recently Bennett Steel partnered with IMPACT to bring this training and certification exam to its Field Supervisors.

Bennett Steel Inc., partnered with IMPACT and The Iron Workers International to bring a pilot program for the Safety Trained Supervisor Construction® (STSC) Certification in Tulsa, Okla.

The training course was immediately followed by an examination administered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). This training will help to increase the number of safety leaders who are in supervisory positions within Bennett Steel Inc. and ultimately will be used as a model for other steel firms to do the same. This will help to elevate safety in not only the steel sector of the construction industry but to the entire construction market.

The STSC® training was sponsored by IMPACT, an organization that bring ironworkers and their contractors together to meet the growing demands of the construction industry.

“We have heard from customers who are impressed with the STSC® Certification program. Our management team, including field supervisors are putting forth a visible effort to prevent injuries and incidents,” said Regional Advisory Board VI Management Co-Chair and President of Bennett Steel, Inc. David Bennett. “I am very proud to be part of this game-changing effort.”
