Bennett Steel Wins Two AGC Awards

The AGC of Oklahoma – Building Chapter Recognizes Bennett Steel for Excellence in Construction.

Each year, AGC of Oklahoma - Building Chapter holds a construction project competition. The Build Oklahoma Award entries (all AGC of Oklahoma members) showcase their individual premier commercial construction projects which were completed throughout the previous year.

The 2015 competition was very hotly contested, as are most years. Some of the winning projects only separated themselves from their nearest competition by less than a point and the judges indicated (at the annual banquet where the winners are showcased) that the submissions were representative of excellence in commercial construction in the State of Oklahoma.

Bennett Steel won two awards:

  1. For the Macy’s Tulsa Fulfillment Center (a 1.3 million sq. ft. [under roof] automated distribution center)

  2. For the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Renovation of the Vinita Service Station (an iconic structure in NE Oklahoma, originally built in 1957)

During the 76th Annual Meeting & Build Oklahoma Awards Banquet, Bennett Steel was recognized for their contributions to the State of Oklahoma’s construction marketplace. All of the storyboards will be displayed at AGC’s Day at the Capital on Thursday, March 31st.
